About Me

Describing myself is always the hardest task for me to complete. I’ve never been one of those girls that starts a sentence with, “I’m the type of girl who…” As soon as someone says that to me, I always begin to giggle in my head. Anyone can tell you who they are, but I prefer to get to know a person from his/her actions. So here I am, the author of this website, dreading being the type of girl that describes who she is…so instead, I’ll describe what I do.

I spent 10 years of my life educating the youth. I am from Harlem, New York. While the statistics would have suggested that it was unlikely for me to survive my circumstances, I actually have a Doctorate’s Degree. My ability to escape the ‘hood life through education, fueled my passion to educate the youth. I feel like I can relate to their struggle and serve as an advocate for them. Although, I recently made a career change, I am still very passionate about education and recently started an educational consulting business. I truly believe that education is the key to success.

I love to Do-Everything-Myself. Creativity is just in me. I’ve always wanted to learn how to sew. A few years ago I took a sewing class at a community college and learned the basics. Then in true Danielle Fashion, I used that training to start a plus size fashion line titled, Dreams by Danielle. I participated in a number of fashion shows including, Curves Rock in Baltimore MD, Baltimore Fashion Week, District of Curves in Washington, DC, and New York Fashion Week Plus. I’ve also been featured in a number of magazines such as Beyond Curves, Scorch Magazine, and Manik Magazine. Aside from fashion, you can always catch me exploring different ways to exude creativity.

Whenever I get a chance, I encourage people to follow their Dreams. Whatever their Dreams may be, I believe it is vital to everyone’s sanity that they find something that brings them peace and happiness. So when someone says to me that they bought a sewing machine or they turned their hobby into a business, I know that I have inspired them to take the chance on themselves and that brings me joy.

My name is Danielle. I Educate. I Create. I Inspire.
